The New Yarmouth Sugar Estate is first mentioned in the early 1800s. Today the rum distillery of the same name is owned by Wray & Nephew and works with both column and pot stills. This Pure Pot Still Rum is a very fine example of a classic Jamaican High Ester-Rum.
Nose: First glue and smoke (burning chemicals) but gets very complex with Lindor Balls, bananas, menthol, pineapples – very rummy! A Pirate's and Grandmother's Rum. Taste: Zesty, sharp, poisonous, some chocolate again, limes in every form, green bananas, pineapples, coconut bonbons introduce a very long and tarry finish: Grilled limes, lime zests, nutmeg, fruit gums, long and intense... Only for pirates!

This rum was distilled in an unnamed distillery in Nicaragua on a column still during the year 2004. It is aged for 13 years in a single cask without additional colour or sugar.
Nose: Candied fruits, burnt caramel with pecan and walnuts. Tastes much drier than the aromas suggest: Starts syrupy with hints of candied fruits again, Studentenfutter, Marrons Glacés leading to a dry and clean finish: Now full on roasted chestnuts, some other nuts and hints of caramel.

The history of the Bielle Distillery dates back into the 1800s. After being mothballed for a long time Dominique Thierry revived it 1975. The Bielle Distillery stands for Rhum Agricole of the highest quality using sugar cane of countless local peasants.
Nose: Lemon and grapefruit zests, eucalyptus, starfruit, fresh plastic. Tastes very zesty and fresh too: Different kinds of citrus fruits, green lightly salted mangoes, green bananas, cherry- and orange blossoms perfectly guide you into a long and intense finish: Very fresh on lemon, lime and grapefruit zests again, menthol, grapefruit juice - very tingly, some petrol.

The West Indian Rum Distillery also known as Black Rock Distillery produces a wide range of Medium Body Rums. They run two column- and two pot stills. This is the second of two wonderful casks of Pure Pot Still Rum.
Nose: Apricot kernels, rooibos/vanilla tea, fresh concrete, orange blossoms, lightly caramelised sugar. No surprise it tastes syrupy: With rooibos/vanilla tea again, brown butter, sugar cane and all different kinds of sugar. It’s like tasting sugar without too much sweetness. Everything comes back again in the long and sweet finish: More Tea with loads of candied sugar in there, some fresh almonds - dangerously easy to drink!
